Week 5

Dear Year 4 Families,

We hope you have had a lovely Easter and enjoyed the learning activities we suggested for the Easter holiday. It has been great to see the learning you have been doing. Please keep sending in emails to homelearning@st-edmunds.suffolk.sch.uk  to let us know how you are, the learning tasks you have been doing and if we can help in any way.

Welcome to the Summer Term! We hope you will enjoy the learning tasks we have suggested in the Y4 Home Learning document below as they will help you to build on the great progress you were making with your learning before the school had to close.

For example, it would be great to see your alphabets of positive adjectives and how you're using them to write the Alan Peat sentences suggested. Also, please let us know to whom you have written your letters of appreciation and encouragement and then next week you can tell us about the replies you have had.

Attached below is the music for "Over the Rainbow". All musicians in the UK are being encouraged to play this during the Thursday evening clap for key workers as the rainbow is the symbol of our support for them. Try learning to play it on your chosen instrument then send us in a video of you playing during the applause on Thursday - that would be absolutely awesome, and you'll find your neighbours will also clap you too!

Above all, keep safe and well. Remember to keep those acts of kindness going as we all need each other to be kind especially at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Love from

Mr. Francis, Mrs Nutt, Mrs Whyatt, Mrs Edgar, Mr. Hughes and Miss Hall
